About Hanayo
Associate of Occupational Studies in Dance
Hanayo Mori is a dancer from Kawasaki, Japan, who began training at age ten in hip-hop and street jazz before exploring styles like locking, waacking, popping, and house. Early in her journey, she joined a top competition team and had the opportunity to compete at the world championship in Phoenix, Arizona—an experience that inspired her to pursue dance more seriously. She later continued her training at AMDA in the U.S., learning from respected faculty and performing in several productions. Known for her grounded power, precision, and versatility, Hanayo hopes to grow her career in commercial work, concert dance, touring shows, and eventually Cirque du Soleil.
