Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting
Leia Figueroa (he/they) is an electric, witty, and loyal guy who is always happy to offer an opinion. He made his film starring debut in Royalty, a short film about a nonbinary highschooler, which premiered at Outfest 2020, the largest film festival in Los Angeles. His acting background with California Shakespeare Company is a big point of pride. Shakespeare is now Leia’s happy place. In his scene work at AMDA, Leia strove to tell queer and Latino stories that empowered his acting journey, and fell in love with casting and directing his talented classmates to tell their stories too.
