Maya Raquel Smith

Maya Raquel is a New York born and based storyteller with a big voice, big curves, and an even bigger heart! As a highly trained vocalist breaking the shape of your traditional leading lady, Maya brings equal parts talent, passion, and sunshine into every room! Notable roles include Tracy Turnblad (Hairspray), Dragon/dance captain (Shrek), and Jenny Lind (The Greatest Showman Revue). When she's not on stage, Maya works with special needs musical theatre groups to foster a safe space where all performers are welcome, and she proudly carries that same diligence and love on her sleeve in every audition, contract, and beyond!
